The Inner Life of Dance Tunes.

Feel the rhythmic pulse that lies at the heart of all good
dance music and bring it out in your playing. Where’s
the beat? How do we convey it? In this practical
workshop we’ll study the distinctive inner rhythms of
hornpipes, jigs, reels and other forms, learning some
great tunes in the process.

Songwriting, Arranging, and Performance Workshop

How to approach writing, arranging and accompanying
song and then more, how to perform your work.
Today the aim is to build confidence and generate new
enthusiasm for your music making. Whatever your level
of experience, Johnny will explain and illustrate many of
the techniques. Johnny is an experienced performer
and workshop leader and has the knack of putting his
finger on exactly what people need to do to improve,
from blending voices, choosing keys to handling those
awkward moments when you forget a line or need to
retune.
